INVENTION CONVENTION
The Capital District Invention Convention
The Capital District Invention Convention is an annual competition open to New York State public or private school students. The program stimulates creativity and imagination and promotes the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Teaching students how to invent and apply problem-solving skills helps nurture the next generation of inventors and scientists. At Ballard, the convention is run through the Library Media Center and all students are invited to submit an original idea for an invention. Students in third, fourth and fifth grade are required to participate.
